4: I'll admit, I'm sort of like that, although not particularly in regards to incest. I don't intentionally put myself in characters' places, but sometimes when I'm not consciously distinguishing the difference between reality and fiction I accidentally slip myself in there and it bothers me. This is generally why I prefer BL/yaoi over het and GL/yuri, although I'm not opposed to them and respect that people have the preference. As a female who considers herself not mature enough for a relationship or sex, it kind of freaks me out when I realized I've vicariously put myself in said position, and since BL/yaoi relationships don't involve females it's harder for that accidental slippage to occur. I doubt this will make you think I'm less creepy, but at least know that even if people who know they =/= characters sometimes, when they're immersed in the fictional world and the lines between the two are blurred, the self-projection into the characters can happen, no matter how unintentional.
