I think there were lower, but in early 2007 when f!s only had a few hundred followers

Around this time last year we had eight a day for a week, so no.

That marked the start of a real decrease in activity though.

Holidays and vacation time. It's a slow time of year. The low numbers aren't surprising at all.

It's always quiet at the start of the year, because for the previous few weeks people have been away or busy.

This is the first FS post I've done more than glance at, and I haven't submitted any secrets
