It's usually not about their sexual orientation. When Guy A and Girl B get shipteased, it's still very much assumed that even if they don't get together, Guy A will like girls and Girl B will like guys. If you want to watch a show about straight people and these particular straight people aren't cutting it for you, you can find more straight people on any other show.

Also, this conversation has really not been about straight slashers so far, it's been about a minority group wanting to be able to do the same thing that the majority can- get into a show, and see people like themselves having relationships and being happy. No disrespect intended toward straight slashers, but this is really not what this is about.
