Especially in these fandoms you've given as examples, where it's pretty damn clear that women need to know their place.

I was going to say Eowyn, but arguably she IS told to stay in her place for a large portion of the narrative.

uhhh did we read different books or sth because pretty sure the ENTIRE POINT OF THE SERIES was "war is bad mkay" and her deciding to focus her attention on things pertaining to life rather than death/fighting was supposed to be a good thing for her as a PERSON not as a WOMAN (considering that her future husband made the same decision about his future also.)
