Fans are freaking out because the new artist updated their designs. Mostly, they just got spoiled by the fact that the bulk of the YA stuff thus far has had the same artist, so they don't know how to deal with change. They've been pretty dicky about it--seriously, there was so much wank about Billy's hair omg wut--but it seems to be slowly dying down. Just in time for the new title to start and new wank to start. Lol.

Ah, having the same artist for a long time is rare in comics.

Yeah, YA fans are pretty spoiled in that regard. There were other artists in some of the event tie-ins and one-offs, but most of the art was by Cheung. There are quite a few YA fans who don't follow many other titles, either, so they haven't really gotten used to the frequent switching of artists that some titles have.
