Hey all,

I'm not really sure this is the place to post this, but it was a best guess kind of thing?
I've been following the comm for a while, and I'm loving the posts on here, though I haven't actually managed to post one of my own yet. It seems like all you guys are pretty good group and I was wondering if anyone would be able to lend me a hand with something?

I'm studying for a postgrad course, and I was wondering if anybody would be interested in talking to me about the fandom and how media has helped it grow (stuff like livejournal, tumblr and all that)? It's mostly about the social element of fandoms, so how people find the pages online and interact on them, so how sharing and threads work kinda thing. I was also interested in putting in something about writer/beta reader relationships and how that works with respect to meeting/interacting, because I really don't know much about that and it seems like there's a level of trust in that.

It probably wouldn't take too long and everything will be anon'd after. I'd offer gifts, but I'm not sure what I have in terms of online worth lol.

If it sounds interesting to anyone, then a reply or a pm would be great :D

that's kind of an overwhelming topic to tackle all at once! maybe ask a specific question every now and then in the general comments thread so everyone can chip in? (unless you are very, very pressed for time)

hey,
yeah sorry about the long post, I was, as you picked up on, a little pressed for time when I finally timed it right to post on here (I'd tried for about 2 weeks in various places for replies, so it was a bit of an all out post on here today)
Turned out to be a bit of an overwhelming topic to write about, fun though, so I'll definitely still be about for replies for a while as an inbox thing :)
