I think one of the biggest reasons I love it is just how many near-perfect brilliant episodes it had

This. The series overall had its low points, cringe worthy episodes, and things that made me roll my eyes but so many of the episodes were just so wonderful from start to finish that those low points don't have any effect on how much I love the show
