I like them both as well. That said, I've not seen any Cat fans bashing Jon, it's mostly "waah Cat is so mean!!" from the Jon fans.

This. I like both characters as well. But I don't like that particular subset of Jon stans~.

Most of the most vocal Cat stans actually seem to like Jon. They just dislike the Jon stans that are always going on about how evil Cat is to him. IMO, that lot ARE quite wilfully ignorant and annoying so I understand their peeves with Jon stans. Quite honestly, I have NEVER seen the argument from Cat fans that Jon should just get over it and be happy and he had so much privilege or whatever. Never. Then again I stay clear of anywhere except tumblr and occasionally LJ. I find Catelyn stans generally are pretty defensive only because they've constantly had to deal with such stupidity, not because they're irrational in their appreciation of Cat/hatred of Jon. To me they've always seemed pretty low-key and rational, except when severely provoked. Meanwhile it's the Jon fans that will just spout off hate completely out of the blue and with no actual reason.

I wouldn't mind if all the Jon and Cat fans could just get along but that's sort of a pipe dream.
