Do people really hate reblog notifications and comments on their posts? I wouldn't think it was that big a deal because you don't have to look at them. (And as far as I know, you can't get emails or anything for those. Which would be insane anyway for people who get a lot of reblogs.)

personally i sometimes ramble about some little thing semi-related to the post in the tags for my own amusement and that way nobody else has to get bothered with it but my followers.

I do understand doing it for this reason, I just don't like it when people use tags like that constantly. (Because like I said, then you can't search anything.)

I don't have my tags on my tumblr but that's more about me being lost over how tumblr works than anything else. I'll have to look at some themes.

hate? no. do i feel like nobody wants to see me going on about how i read a fic like that once or that my dog does that cute thing too? yep. if i actually have something constructive to say about the post or actually adding to it, then i put it in the post, otherwise... no. it's just become How Things Are Done, and i see the point in it so i don't mind abiding by that.

how can you not search anything? if it's a reblog then those wouldn't come up searching through those tags regardless.

even if your theme doesn't show tags by default on the main blog page they should show on the individual post's page, if you needed to search your own tags for something.

Yea, I was only talking about searching through a specific users tags.

Okay then. In that case, in my experience with the people I follow, if people who ramble in the tags put in the post subject tag too. If they're not going to add the subject tags, they usually don't tag posts at all. If it's a personal multifandom blog instead of a themed one (fuckyeah____'s, etc) then sometimes people just don't bother because they don't think anybody would want to go through their posts.

You clearly don't have a problem with using capitalization in general, seeing as you capitalized How Things Are Done. So, why is it that you have a problem with capitalizing the word "I" or the beginnings of sentences? What is it that you are hoping to say by keeping such things lower-case?

Initial capitalizations and single I is usually set to autocorrect in word processing programs. So it might just be a case of rivia being used to having those capitalizations done automatically and types like that even when the automatic capitalizations aren't available.

better yet, why do you care how i make posts on a forum? why should I care? you can clearly understand what i'm saying, there aren't any typos and hopefully few grammatical and punctuation errors, sometimes i just don't feel like hitting the shift key. and why are you calling it a "problem" anyways, i don't have some deep seated prejudice against capitalization, sometimes i just don't do it.

ooh look the capitalization was all over the place there, tell me, does this bother you?
