Kind of, yeah.

Also, can I just say that the chardmonster hate is kind of starting to bug me a little? It just seems really... extreme. Like, when people start to nitpick every little comment, including things that would absolutely have gone unremarked had anyone else made them, it just seems dumb.

I think it's one of those things where probably a small few people have been sitting on their annoyance for awhile and now it's just all boiled over. I get like that with a few users. They annoy me and I try to ignore it but they're seemingly everywhere and it just builds and builds until I want to troll the hell out of them. Instead that's when I take breaks from FS and go away for awhile.

YMMV of course, but from what I've observed, part of the problem is that she's gotten worse. I used to find her kind of amusing, but lately I think she's been getting progressively more offensive in a really un-funny way - and when people say so, she doubles down and makes it worse. I'm not surprised that people are getting sick of the behavior.

I'm going to agree with this comment. Whether or not it's intentional, she's been getting more....aggressive? And several times now I have seen her severely misinterpret other people's comments in a negative way.

but I come across as a huge bitch sometimes too, and it's usually completely unintentional. Sarcasm and irony do not translate well to the internet, unfortunately.

When have you ever come across as a huge bitch? I tend to keep an eye on your comments and can't think of any examples?

She has definitely gotten worse and it usually strays very close to or over the line to personal attacks. I just ignore threads she's in and if she joins one I'm already in, I stop replying.

I have to wonder what someone in her situation thinks though when everyone is saying "I don't like this thing you're doing" and they not only continue to do it but actually turn it on high.

Nothing shocked me more then her meteoric rise above my own wank incitements.

I haven't noticed her today, but I've certainly been more short leashed with her of late because it really is piling up. I think she's gotten worse? I used to think she was pretty funny, but the past two weeks have ranged between :/ to >:C

I think the difference is that, before, her comments were obviously sardonic or satirical or parodies of other bad comments, but some time back she started commenting on serious issues with seriousness, but can't quite ditch the sardonic undertones and overtones and plain tones (or even trollish tones) that accompany her usual commenting style.

So, before, the people who didn't recognize her comments as the lighthearted mocking that they were were the only ones getting upset at her, but now...

Whoa, when did those threads get frozen and why?

About an hour and a half ago, I think? It wasn't going anywhere so I think case froze it to avoid personal attacks.

Some time between 05:45 am UTC and 06:05 am UTC. Why? Ask Case.

Also, the last comment in the thread was made at 04:44 am UTC, at least an hour before the freeze. It didn't seem the thread was frozen to stop hot, active wank.

He's done it before when threads get very very large and very off-topic (like sing-along or other for-fun threads in the secrets section of the comments) of verging into personal attacks.
