from the beginning, tumblr memorizes tags, but it has a limit to how many it memorizes. Hence, if you tag very basically you're golden, but if you're like me and you like to keep your rambling asides to tags, then it remembers that one misspelled sentence you tagged with three years ago, but NOT the characters name from the new fandom that you post in all the time now. Pain. in. the. ass.

Nope, because if I log into tumblr from a computer I've never used before it still remembers all the old tags.

yeah that sounds like something in the tumblr code which is not a easy fix on the user end
