Long story short, I got too involved in some drama that was going on between them, it escalated, and they blamed me for it. (I'm not entirely sure it wasn't my fault either.)

tl;dr version: Friend 1 was talking to me about Friend 2 in a way I thought was insulting. I told 1 that if she didn't tone it down, I would tell 2 what she had said. 1 said she didn't care, so, sick of trying to keep the peace, I followed through. This led to a heated exchange between 1 and 2, which didn't last long. Afterwards we all stopped talking about it and I thought it was over. However, 2 happens to be engaged to Friend 3, and 3 decided it was appropriate to insult 1's fiance in return. 1 chewed me out for relaying the information in the first place. I went and told 3 to back off, which only served to piss him off as well.

If I'd kept my damned mouth shut instead of giving in to my frustration...

Friends 1 and 3 are acting like petty children. 1 shouldn't have chewed you out and 3 had no right to insult 1's fiance when they weren't even involved in this drama. I hope they'll realize how much their actions are hurting everyone and apologize.
