I have plantar fasciitis from working years of retail in very bad shoes (didn't have much choice in regards to footwear because of company dress codes). It takes a lot of effort for me to walk for more than half an hour no matter what shoes I wear.

Oh man, OP. Plantar fasciitis sucks ass. I am so sorry. My mama has that (she was a college prof for 35 years) and she limps around like the elderly woman she is not because of it. :( Many sympathies.

Oh, that is bullshit. Seriously, is there no medical exemption? That's so very unacceptable.

I like walking. I walk all over the place. I'm mad that your employer is ruining it for you. :(

OP, do you know that you can treat your own plantar fasciitis and stop the pain? It requires stretching your foot every single day, 2-3 times per day, and icing your heel(s) when you have pain.

Check here (http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/plantar-fasciitis-treatment-overview) for more details. I did this with a very bad tear and it took six months, but it is healed finally and I no longer have pain.

But I love the idea of you walking to this music - that's awesome!

Not OP but thank you for the link! I don't have plantar fasciitis exactly, but my doctor thinks something similar might have contributed to a toe sprain last month and I want to avoid it from happening again. You're the best!
