Exactly right on deactivated VS deleted! It's main blogs that get deactivated and sideblogs that end up deleted, fyi. :B And I've noticed the default blog theme tends to do the weird "unable to click to where the post came from" thing. :/ It's annoying, though it's one reason I never used the default theme for long
and really need to change it for my diamondsandfrogs blog whoops. The differences in source link type (main blog as opposed to specific post) can vary. Sometimes, it's due to the OP wanting credit to their blog as a whole as opposed to the post itself (the latter of which is default) - it's mostly art or graphic bloggers who do this, though occasionally others will do it too. Others, it might be someone correcting a source like if someone reposted a graphic as opposed to simply reblogging (which I will never understand bc it takes WAY less time to reblog a post than it does to save the image and reupload it I MEAN REALLY 8T). And sometimes, yes, people are dicks and change the source to someone other than the OP for no reason other than they can. It's rare ime, though it definitely can happen.no subject
(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)You have been very helpful! I wish all the tumblr users here are helpful like you and not like the condescending asstwats above.
whoops, HTML fail
and then it didn't because I can't edit the fucking text size *HEADDESK*Yeah, sometimes it's easy for people to figure out things on their own, and sometimes people need to ask whatever specific questions they have about something to figure it out (which a lot of people who can don't often realize, I don't think), so I try to answer whatever questions someone has. My advice is often to try and mess around with things and then ask and/or raid google if something comes up. Worked for me with LJ, Tumblr, GIMP, and lots of other things so yeah. :B
