The worst part is that it's from one of the most popular fics in the fandom.

IDK what fandom that's from but I can think of a few characters who could say that and it would be a perfectly reasonable, IC thing for them to say. A line like that really depends on context.

Also, it's J-pop RPS, but you don't really have to know anything about that to enjoy the complete and utter hilarity. That link is for ch. 8, which is where the birth scene happens, but the rest of it is full of greatness, too.

Things got more awesome and they were fighting on the roof and there was lighting all around and winds blew everyones hair aaround and also blew away the sheet night was using to not be naked. An thunder smash the roof of the building and bits of tile flew every where and it was very scary. Like if youve ever jumped in front of a bus and the bus was being driven by satan and there was a dead frog on the front and fire instead of a windscreen - thats how scary it was.

The whole fic was utter shit (it was one of those horrible "Snape was really Harry's father and lets ignore everything relevant in canon") but this line just made me burst out laughing. HIS ONLY FLAW WAS LOVING TOO MUCH.

Honestly, I could see that being good... *if* the fic were about all the things he did wrong and how his love was at the bottom of all of them. Like... if it were intentional understatement.

Somehow I doubt that's what the author was doing though...
