Huh. I might give it a shot--I did like The Mighty Ducks despite not being a hockey fan, so maybe it'll be characters + education? :D

you'll like the characters, definitely. They're so fucking...endearing? Still my favorite anime, and I watched it in 2007. And the writer does a GREAT job of writing the baseball in a way that you can understand even if you've never seen a single game before.
