I mean, I liked Rose, I really did -- but the longer I'm in fandom, the more I feel irritated by her fans, and by extension, her. (Which then I feel guilty about, because then I rewatch stuff and I'm like yeah! I like you still!) But even though I'm only just barely starting to go through the oldschool stuff, dude, I've really liked the other companions!

On the one hand, I don't doubt he loved Rose, and rather desperately -- but I don't think she's his ONE TRUE LOVE! or anything even remotely approaching that.

If you were to ask me, it'd be either TARDIS/Doctor OTP, or Doctor/Master, because, uhhh. I LIKE IT THAT WAY. 8Db

I'm a fan of dorklove, myself -- people who're best of friends with benefits, and have wacky misadventures together. But when the wrong twisted stuff is so there in canon, how can I refuse? :D

I see you have some anime in your interests (and that we have a friend in common) - Have you seen Here is Greenwood? That's got one of my favorite "buddies w/ benefits" pairings ever.

Actually, Greenwood is one of the older series I haven't seen -- I tend to go for more of the shounen action series, because at least until they hit the "50 episode of MUST GET STRONGER!!1!1" filler, they're more my style than quiet romance/slice-of-life stories.

And hey, small world! :) Not terribly surprised, though, lots of people know Laylah. ^^

Greenwood's fun. Goofy stuff. There are only six episodes and 1-4 are full of amusement for me.

And yes. But that is because Laylah is full of awesome.

Fun is the most important part about anything fandom! These days especially, I want something that's entertaining without taking itself too seriously. :)

I actually (confession time) don't read a whole lot of Laylah's fic -- she tends to write for series I don't follow. I know her more through RL, since her girlfriend's a good friend of mine. At the same time, I approve of people liking awesome people, so -- :Db!

Hah! I know Laylah from college. I can't follow her videogame stuff really since I don't play the same games but she's responsible for my brief foray into FMA.
