re5: my opinion won't change just because the hobby does. If you have an expensive hobby that you spend money on that you shouldn't, it will still make me gape in astonishment that you paid HOW MUCH for WHAT?! I just used dolls as an example cause it's fandom related. Oh and also, yes they do have the added trait of being super creepy. ;P

Ohhh. I thought you were being solely specific to those things. I totally agree, actually. You're talking to the girl who passed on having a Sweet Sixteen because she wanted to save the money for something useful, like getting a car. 8D
