And if you're loving whatever your hobby is and saving up for it, and it makes you happy, and you're not going broke over it, awesome. I'm happy when other people are happy! And everyone needs something to occupy their time and creative energy.

Personally, I'm realizing how much money I've blown on cosplay and cons in the past and going "Wow! I wish I had that for school now!" Not that I didn't enjoy it at the time, but damn if it doesn't sting a little when I look back.

I cry over wasted cosplay money. XD; (Not really, but I totally could if I thought about it too long. x_x)

Anyway, it's a hard argument. I'm all for hobbies, but at the same time, you're right and the money could go to better use. But hey, WE'RE ONLY HUMAN YES? Personally I think ball-joint dolls are on the higher end of a LOW scale. $1,000 isn't depriving a starving country from salvation. Celebrity yachts and such... that's a little different. Of course I'm not trying to say "Well the REALLY EXPENSIVE STUFF just ISN'T okay!" because you know, EVERYONE has their right to spend THEIR money. I just think critisizing Dollfie collectors might be a bit much. Getting down to it in light of fighting for 'productivity' and 'usefullness', people would do better to go yell at Celebrities or Bill Gates or something. XD They can be just as extravegant and probably even MORE snobbish- depending on which you catch. XD

I'm not critisizing you, btw. Just trying to say... It's a difficult subject to fight. :/
