5. I have an irrational fear of porcelain dolls and the like. xD That irrelevant note aside, it's common sense not to spend your money on something that you don't need when there are other more important financial matters that have to be tended to first. The doll is just a variable that could be substituted for anything. Like a crazy expensive sports car for instance. Yeah, you could use the car but you don't need that particular brand that empties your wallet. People are materialistic. It's nothing surprising.

12. I'm really glad Haruka didn't end up with Takayuki and I commend her for standing up on her own. Furthermore, I ended up feeling extremely ambivalent towards him and Mitsuki; their actions were just like WTF at times.

12. At first I was just so shocked and confused by the ending since I thought that there was an alternate series for Mitsuki's ending, but when I really sat back and reflected on everything, I was so happy that Haruka stood up for herself and gave me the encouragement that I needed to try and stand on my own two feet.

I think most of the ambivalence came from the guilt Mitsuki felt toward betraying her friend and I really can empathize with her, but I just find it so funny that the "weak" Haruka was able to stand alone whereas the "strong" Mitsuki had to fall back on her man.

Takayuki needed a freaking backbone in that series though!

I think they're coming out with an "alternate ending" series entitled "Haruka's Story"? I'm debating on whether or not I actually want to give it a chance because, yeah, Takayuki sucks ass and it would be agitating watching Haruka become Mitsuki.

It was actually a little more difficult for me to relate to Mitsuki because when she ended up going COMPLETELY off-key (i.e. the whole scene with their other guy friend. He was such a side dish with next to no character development I don't even remember his name.), I was just like... do you WANT me to hate you, woman? xD

On the other hand, Haruka was absent for the majority of the series, so it might be a little interesting to see what she would have become if she were in Mitsuki's position.

By the way, if you're the OP, I was actually pretty surprised at first by your secret. A lot of people refer to Haruka as the stereotypical 'coma girl' of conventional soap opera. But for me it was convincing enough. As mundane as it may seem in drama, she's done something a lot of people never end up doing. And in a really dignified and forgiving manner at that-- something I myself would have so much trouble giving to someone as indecisive and weak-kneed as Takayuki.

Ack, Haruka couldn't have a better ending with Takayuki! I have always been a huge Haruka fan, but no! I like the strong willed Haruka better than the one similar to Mitsuki.

When Mitsuki totally lost it, I really could see why she went that way, but I just was so shocked and appalled at how she handled herself at that point. I mean, I could see from episode 1 the feelings Takayuki and Mitsuki had for each other, but I think anyone could have seen that.

Yeah, I really like the series so if more comes out, I will defiantly check it out!

I am the OP and I don't watch too many soap operas, but I do know about how there are many with the "coma girl" in it and Haruka did something I don't think many other people could do, even if in a better situation than hers. I was just floored by all of her actions in the last couple of episodes at how much she had grown as a character. It may just be me, but the girl that was in a coma grew up and the ones that got to live stayed the same. Irony (at least I think so!)
