That's exactly what I mean!

I'm not frugal by any means, but I also don't spend more than I make. It doesn't matter if you're hobby is expensive and useless (like these dolls, or anime, or manga, or hell ANYTHING in mainstream popular culture) or if you go out and buy a $3,000 HD flat screen TV...if you are dipping into rent/bill money, then you can't afford it!

So in conclusion, IAWTC. :)

I get buying things because you enjoy it. But if you can't afford it, why not wait a bit until you can? That just makes so much more sense to me, instead of giving up food or paying your bills so you can own something that you don't really need. It's kind of like how I am with cars. I would much rather have a nice, comfortable, stable house in a nice neighborhood or environment, then a Ferrari and dozens of bills. There should be some sort of balance.
