Dude. This is like the first week it's been like this in a while. It was the holidays. People were busy. Also, some shows were on hiatus, or the season ended. Chill.

If the reduced number of secrets bothers you so much, either submit some of your own, or go recruit more people to join.

If you think that'd work better and you're willing to take up the job and post every day, go ahead and make a new comm over there. Literally nothing is stopping you!

Alternatively, you could help spread the comm around and introduce people to it, to get some more people posting - or you could encourage lurkers to comment/post secrets of their own.

yeah, actually, the move to dw had things slow down a little, but then people started populating the general comments thread more and then activity went up.

it's been fairly stable now

the only real difference to lj's super popular days is that "i ship it, etc." semi-empty secrets and many trolls were banned some time before the move to dw

if the trolls of old were still kicking around here and we still had so many superfluous comments i think there wouldn't be much difference in activity

maybe you could make a poll to see if people want to see the meh-i-ship-it-effort secrets back to kick in more activity?

one good thing coming from that is that people put more effort into the aesthetics of the secrets, so we had some pretty nice secrets from the graphical standpoint back then

I actually think it's pretty interesting - that even though the secrets drop from 20 to 12, the activity stays generally the same. The 2nd page is kind of like a daily random fandom discussion / semi-anon meme almost. Not that the secrets aren't the focus, because they are (and new stuff every day is definitely a draw) but I think the sense of community has definitely grown since we moved here...

Just speaking personally I think I visit more now because it's a bit quieter - back when it was 70 secrets a day, I just couldn't keep up with all the threads that interested me so I quit coming by because it was too much of a life-suck. I swear the quality of discussion now is better, too.

They are from vdexproject.net. It's a pokemon fan game where you can go through the regions through links and stuff. Getting views gives you $$$.

It's pretty fun if you enjoy raising and breeding pokemon.

Oh yeah, and what anon said down there, if you where asking about the dragons one.

It's a game that started out at dragoncave, I think. The icons gain exp every time they're viewed, and after they have enough exp they'll hatch/evolve etc.
