Not exactly but I found the scene where Pepper had to reach down into his heart to fix some wire or something to be arousing, so.

Yeah, me too. .____.;;;
pantswarrior: Spock thinks everything is "fascinating". (fascinating)

I didn't find it arousing (but then I'm asexual and don't actually find anything arousing, so not surprising!), but that part is absolutely what got me shipping them from the get-go. So ridiculously adorable and trusting and eeeeee.

That particular moment squicks me out personally, but I can relate to the feeling. Stane yanking the reactor out of Tony's chest? That does it for me so bad I worry when I'm watching it with company that they can tell how hot I think it is.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
AUGH I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. It's to the point where I have to try really hard not to look at the screen during that because I'm terrified someone is going to notice I'm a liitttle too into it. Like, even when he's imbolized and Stane isn't just sitting there chatting. UNF.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
You're far from the only one. There have been secrets about this before.

Wow, look at all those typos. Sorry! When Stane IS just standing there, and when Tony is IMOBOLIZED.

I have climaxed to the memory of the reactor rape scene so many times.
intrigueing: (no hard feelings point break)

[personal profile] intrigueing 2013-01-10 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't even keep my eyes open at that scene because it squicks me out so hard. Sorry.

OTOH, I find the scene where Obadiah steals his arc reactor distressingly hot, so I'm not exactly a yardstick for normalcy.
pantswarrior: Edward, from FFIV, hiding. (;_;)

Augh. And meanwhile that is one of those deals where people would think it was insane to want a trigger warning, but seeing that bit seriously left me having panic attacks, and I've made sure to be out of the room anytime the movie is on and that part is about to happen. Because I love the rest of the movie, but that triggers me more than almost anything in media could ever trigger me.

(Note that I do not say that it should have a trigger warning. It would kind of be ridiculous to warn for nasogastric tubes. Just, man, drives it home that one person's kink is another person's trigger.)

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say it was traumatizing and I go into horrible flashbacks when I see or hear about it. Usually the trauma is the situation that required it in the first place, which is never good.
pantswarrior: Edward, from FFIV, hiding. (hide!)

Whereas for me, it's a good thing my eyes focused on the text of the secret before the pictures, because when I realized what the pictures were of, I had to hit the page-down key at once to avoid freaking out and becoming paralyzed. Did not dare to scroll back up to see what number the secret was or if I skipped over a secret or two following it. Triggers are highly different for each person.

Actually my girlfriend and I were discussing that this morning in the car, thanks to sharing a couple of uncommon triggers which were BOTH present in a game we just finished playing. Thank goodness one was only alluded to offscreen and the other was presented in a way that could be easily skipped.

+1

Trust me on this, there is nothing sexy about a nasal-gastric tube. You may enjoy watching it be removed, but it is a miserable experience all around. Going in, staying in, coming out, all horribly painful and uncomfortable.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
I had one after having jaw surgery and it was horrible when they removed it, even with the influence of copious amounts of morphine.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
Same here, only that I stopped getting any pain medication three days before they took it out. Honestly, the worst thing about the surgery was having this awful tube.

FUCK YES THIS.
I pretty much look away when that happens on the screen.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
OH GOD NO.

I literally have to turn away from this scene when I watch it because it grosses me out so badly.

(Disclaimer: YKINMK and all, I'm not saying you're gross for enjoying it).

Obligatory SJ comment: I suppose I should ask for a trigger warning since I'm probably the only person grossed out by this? /sarcastic laugh

[personal profile] tabaqui 2013-01-11 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Having had that tube in me twice - GAG. Not 'gag' that you're kinking on it, but that bit of medical...whatever is so fucking AWFUL and painful and horrible and just....

Yeah. I gotta look away whenever it's on, or i totally relive the whole miserable experience.

[personal profile] ex_mek82 2013-01-11 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
I must've blotted this scene out from memory, but looking at this secret made me cringe. OW.

But hey... YKINMK and all that.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-11 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
If you knew how painful and uncomfortable it is to have a nasogastric tube in your body and then having it removed, you might think twice about how 'hot' it is.

...or it may just be part of a masochism/medical kink? *shrugs*

Are we sure this movie's not porn?

[personal profile] nyxelestia 2013-01-11 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's kind of ridiculous how many scenes in this movie will bring people off when there's no sex in it. o.O

I was thinking the same thing. I need to watch this movie again.
