Re: Life On Mars - is it good, US vs UK, etc?
Buffy-ization of the vamps?
How so? I love Buffy and Being Human (US) and I don't see how their vampires are alike outside both are savage killers without a sparkle in sight.
Re: Life On Mars - is it good, US vs UK, etc?
The US ones added the fang-face ('garlic makes us look like us'). IIRC, to their credit, they kept the ability to walk about during the day, instead of going the 'Vampires are nocturnal by nature, therefor sunlight kills them' route that's been treated as canon since Nosferatu.
Re: Life On Mars - is it good, US vs UK, etc?
The difference I see between the US and UK vampire is that the US vampires are far more vicious than the UK ones. The US ones are monsters. They don't seem Human at all. (The Amish vampires eating through that one vampire's neck for example was extremely brutal and animalistic.) The UK ones are more like mobsters with a strange eating addiction disorder.
