I think they're performing romance rather than participating in it. It's a phase.

I've seen this kinda infatuation lovely dovey smarmfest before.

I've never seen it last more then 4 months (and at no time did this result in them staying together and maturing)

No. We hold each other as we fall asleep. We kiss alot. We do couples things like couples.

What we do not do is loudly engage in sappy bullshit where ever little fucking thing in our lives is so wonderful because she is so wonderful no he is so wonderful oh I love you so mwa mwah mwah. *GAG*

Affection is kissing your so and not caring who sees it. It's raising the bar between the seats at the movie theater so you can snuggle. It is not talking about how many cups of coffee you had like anybody fucking cares loud enough that others can hear you.

I actually think snuggling in the theater (and distracting everyone around you who bought a ticket to see a movie, not watch your PDA) is waaaay more annoying than a couple talking sweetly to each other in a coffee shop.

And I mean really, neither of you knows how that couple really is or how they feel about each other.
