When I was little I made friends with the kids across the street. They had a neat swing-set in their backyard but we never went back there to play and one day I asked them why. "The rabbit won't let you," they said. I expressed my disbelief in the appropriate 6-year-old fashion by calling them lying poopheads and threatening to go home. So Mikey said, "If he bites you it's not my fault," and we went outside and stopped at the edge of the porch slab. He pointed at a hole that ran under the storage shed and said he was in there. After a few minutes, Lori told him to "go poke it," so he picked up a rake and tapped the side of the shed with the handle. And there came an honest-to-god growl out of that hole that sounded like the fucking devil and then this big brown and white rabbit erupted out of it. All three of us screamed (no matter what Mikey said, that sound he made was a big girly scream) and we all scrambled for the door. Mikey tried a few times to open it again and every time he did, it would make that scary noise and rush the door. Then we got fussed at by his mom for slamming the door too many times and I went home.

Evidently the only person who could go in the yard without getting attacked was their dad, and he thought it was cool to have an attack rabbit, until one day it finally bit him and he shot it to death with a BB gun. :/

D: Way to be a raging hypocritical asshole, dad-across-the-street!
