The fact that there are so many different labels and that they're changing so constantly that it's hard to keep up is annoying, I agree. Mostly because people like to jump all over anyone who isn't up to date on the very lastest terminology instead of just explaining; label yourself whatever you want, but don't expect everyone to automatically know what it means. That's just silly.

I think as far as the changing their identity a lot goes, though, it's kind of just a function of a lot of people on Tumblr being relatively young. They're still figuring out their identities and in some cases, discovering for the first time that that "weird" thing that they've always felt about themselves maybe isn't that weird and that there is a possible word out there for it.
