(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 09:11 am (UTC)(link)IMO, it's not really a matter of whether he cared or not. Caring is a moot point, because on some level, Batman cares about all life. But, in the grander scheme: the crazy archvillain and living antithesis of all he stands for, who spend decades battling him both physically and mentally, just died. Considering how Bruce internalizes things, he's gonna feel some nostalgia. And guilt. And loss. And, because he's Batman, carries the body out to Gordon because it's the honorable thing to do.
