Thanks for that. I agree, Bond is no doubt sexist, always has been. He;s not a rapist though. the Bond girl trope is part of the deal with him, whether we like it or not the agenda is that women want to shag him, that's it.

I've been rewatching the old films (I've just finished The Man with the Golden Gun), and (especially in the Connery era) I actually do think he raped women (though that was definitely not the intention of the filmmakers). In several instances he just holds her down until she relents, and in one case he blackmails a nurse to have sex with him with the threat of telling her superiors she'd been neglectful.

I'm really happy that the reboot has a different Bond characterisation.
