Notes:
Sorry, early today!
Also: I'm not going to officially warn for tongue-in-cheek "triggers" just to provide anyone with a fandom-specific in-joke when there are none in the secret.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-13 01:30 am (UTC)(link)Basically, it means having a combination of gonads, genitals, chromosomes, and/or secondary sexual characteristics that isn't readily identifiable as either male or female.

Good luck to you, anon.
...the only thing that gets me about this a little is the whole "I want to be a troll not a cherub!" It's a different species...not really quite the same thing. And it makes me think of transethnic stuff but maybe that's just because I've been hearing about that recently...

Cherubs have only hate. Trolls have love and hate (compared to humans, who have only love and is relatively foreign).
Callie wants the whole spectrum. Also, limeblood.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-13 02:43 am (UTC)(link)OTOH, (eventually at least) she seems to honestly believe Roxy when Roxy promises that she wouldn't be scared or grossed out, and that she does want to look that way for herself. So she has the right to do that, and people should be as chill with that as a great friend like Roxy is.
Anyway, I'm glad you've found someone you identify with; and I wish you the best of luck being whoever and whatever you want to make yourself, and I hope maybe thinking of Callie's presentation from different perspectives will make the fandom's messages of 'she should love her real self' (as if they know, right?) feel less personal/accusatory to you.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-13 01:21 pm (UTC)(link)Well, this is quite a coincidence
Re: Well, this is quite a coincidence
(Anonymous) 2013-01-13 09:32 am (UTC)(link)sure, I mean I'm not the most knowledgeable about the science of intersex, like the disorders unrelated to me especially, but I'd be happy to share my emotional experience on growing up intersexed.
I think it's cool you're writing a story about that! You don't see it often n_n
Re: Well, this is quite a coincidence
I guess an obvious one is, what do people writing about intersex individuals most often get wrong?
P.S. If you'd prefer to continue this somewhere other than the comments section, I've got a throwaway email address at studentresearcher112@gmail.com. Email it (with a throwaway or with your regular--your preference), and I'll give you my regular email.
