If you don't like it, don't read the tags. Grey on white may be hard to read, but it's unobtrusive, so it will be very easy for you to ignore it. :)

I was growing more and more stunned as I read this thread of people being all, "BAWWW TAGS ARE EVIL" about the fact that no one had suggested just /not reading the tags/, so go you for having some common sense/decent advice.

For fuck's sake, you actually have to scroll to even *read* all the tags (or at least, if you're not using any extensions, anyways).
They're in a small font and generally don't convey any necessary information. If you're going to have an apoplectic fit about them, instead, just SKIP THEM.

Just ignore whatever is on your computer screen because I like it that way, don't want to hear other people's opinion on it, and can't comprehend why anyone cannot ignore what's sitting 12-15 inches whatever from their face because it's totally obscure taking up .0001 centimeters of screen space in pale grey.

Just ignore and skip my essay length tags if you don't like it... but I don't know why I'm telling anyone this because I want my totally feely essay tags to be noticed.
