Notes:

Sorry, early today!

Also: I'm not going to officially warn for tongue-in-cheek "triggers" just to provide anyone with a fandom-specific in-joke when there are none in the secret.

Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault on Child

(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
There's this fic I may or may not write, for which I need to do some research first, but the subject... I'm afraid of googling *that*.

So fandom, do happen to know..?

Suppose a 5-yr-old child is forced to suck dick, what physical injuries could the child sustain? bruising in the mouth/throat? choking? lung damage from vomiting and inhaling?
If the child is unable to tell what happened, would the medics still understand from the injuries?

Ohgod I feel so dirty with just typing that...

Little Details (http://little-details.livejournal.com/)

Know it. Use it. Love it.

jesusfuck why do you want to write that?

Not OP, but shows like SVU and the like tend to have details of injuries to minors, so I assume the fanfic would as well.

idk, most of the SVU fic I've seen (and I've seen a lot) just has details of Benson having sex with a variety of consenting adults.

Well, IDK, but I personally derive much fun from writing very dark stuff - especially crap saccharine world fanfiction. Then again, I have little ability to sympathize with people, that may be why.

nayrt

I guess the same reason I write dubcon; because it can make a pretty good fucked-up horrible angsty story. Or maybe it's for the h/c. Rock on, OP.

What the fuck are you writing

[personal profile] chardmonster 2013-01-12 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I would seriously reconsider writing it.

I cannot imagine a fandom setting in which this would really make sense unless you like to write fucked up CSI episodes

As I already said above, it could make sense if the canon setting is reversed? Crap saccharine universes are a nice example. You take something completely innocent and turn it into an earthly hell.

And in any case, pretty much all the detective works could have this. Whitechapel could.

Re: What the fuck are you writing

(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
what does whitechapel have to do with anything?

Re: What the fuck are you writing

(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a TV series about the work of a police unit in contemporary Whitechapel

Re: What the fuck are you writing

(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
well yeah, but it just seemed like a weird go-to detective show. have they done something dealing with this subject before or something? (I've only seen like the first 20 minutes of the first episode)

Re: What the fuck are you writing

(Anonymous) 2013-01-12 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
No, but they already have gruesome murders all over the place, and it's not like criminals would look at the history of the events and say something like "oh wait, what we're about to do is way too dark for this police unit, let's go away".

I mean, the canon is set in a supposedly real city. Those things happen to children in real cities.

...I know it's sarcasm, but I don't actually see a problem here

that's what darkfic is for

You're stupid.

And so is your icon.

FACE.

The cat is so cute I probably can't argue. The usage of the word "stupid" is, however, interesting in this case. Dunno, care to explain? Just curious

If you can't research it (and feel dirty typing it out as an anon comment) I'm not sure how you'll be able to write it.

look up child prostitution in cambodia and yum yum

Re: Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault on Child

Suspect any of these things could happen. They could all happen to an adult, too. It's really going to be the same with adult/child, just varying based on the specifics of the act. If you looked up injuries from blowjobs in general you could probably use that as a reference.

None of those specific injuries are probably going to be visible from the outside, but if the kid complained of throat pain or something people might look into it? It probably depends on the other setting/circumstances in your fic. Like, are there other kinds of abuse going on that are going to leave apparent physical signs (external bruising etc.) regardless of whether the kid tells someone about it?

Then again, if the character in your fic is being rough enough with a child that small in order to bruise their throat and cause vomiting/choking and so on, odds are probably good they might kill the kid in which case it's a moot point.
