Tumblr is really what you make if it. I don't really care what the current trends and what-not are. I just post what I like and if others like it, -they'll like it/reblog/follow me, etc. If they don't? Well, no skin off my nose. I still like it.

Same. I follow a lot of science, nature, and activism blogs, so. It is definitely what you make of it, and there is some interesting stuff, once you dig down through a few layers. Tumblr is like the Goodwill of Google Images Search ime.
