I haven't seen the film yet but I plan to. In the meantime, I wanted to read some fics about Kili, Fili and Thorin which explore their dynamics as a family.

This... is not what I've found. /understatement of the century.

I lol'd too, sorry.

I do enjoy Kili/Fili but bringing Thorin into it squicks me out (I know how unusual that sounds). I haven't really looked for family fic because of that (and I doubt more than one or two exist), though I keep running into porn anyway.

I've seen some interesting and fun interactions between them in Bilbo/Thorin fic, but that's about it.

You gotta wait a bit. The movie is just out. Most stories right now are of the shorter kinky variety (with a couple of longer WIPs). The character study style will come eventually. If you want to help it along, perhaps put some gen family prompts on the kinkmeme. If you are looking for this type of fic, that means others are as well.
