I got the flu shot and still managed to get the flu. It doesn't always help.

Hmmm. I think it is just a bad year all around for the flu. I'm just hoping I don't get another one.

They say it's a bad one this year, there are all kinds of quarantines in place where I am. I haven't got the shot and haven't even felt marginally ill. The symptoms seem the same as the really bad one that hit Toronto during Y2K, which I had, and took me three months to get over properly. Maybe I'm immune? Or it's where I've been trying to at least take my vitamins, because my diet has been just disgusting. It's winter, I just can't afford to eat well. :-(

True. And I have asthma, which always makes things worse. This one ended up turning into pneumonia. And my sleep has been off, which probably made it easier to get sick.

Yeah there's been some outbreaks and some pretty bad influenza strains. I rarely ever get the flu (usually colds, if anything), and this one for me was bad-without-being-pneumonia-bad.
