Maybe for aromantic asexuals but for asexuals that still define themselves as romantic, they still date people of a certain gender, so they would either be gay, straight or bi, wouldn't they?

They wouldn't be gay, straight, or bi. They'd be asexual with some form of -romantic modifier, not another sexual orientation tacked on. If you're asexual and heteroromantic, you're still not sexually attracted to the opposite sex, as opposed to heterosexual people, who are.

Here I had thought demisexuality wank meant people had gotten over themselves and accepted asexuality as a valid orientation. But no, it's the same goddamn thing in a different form. People just can't wrap their heads around the concept of not wanting to fuck someone.

Is that really surprising though?

Understand that this is quite literally the most important biological imperative that exists. Even if some people feel it for non-reproduction viable partners, we are wired to really, really want to do this thing.

Maslow put sex on the bottom of the pyramid for a reason. Most folks experience some hard lust at least for a period of their lives.

So it's a head scratcher when somebody says (and means) they don't have that at all. Course, then folks end up assholes about it because people are assholes.

I think 'demisexual aromantic' is the most confusing label to date. How can an 'orientation' based on emotional connection not have an emotional connection to said person to start the sexual attraction to begin with?
