(Anonymous) 2013-01-15 02:04 am (UTC)(link)My first drafts are evenly written drunk and sober. It depends on how much fear* I've been having lately. And after that, I tend to go through at least another two drafts.
*I don't believe in writer's block. I do believe in a fear of bad writing. If I think my writing is crap, that can affect my desire to write. If I have a few drinks in me, suddenly everything seems better, even if it sucks. But as long as I get it down on paper, the second draft is a lot easier to go through because I can cut out all the really bad bits and re-write the rest.
