more writing woes (suggestions maybe?)
ftr, it's a portal fanfic. i don't normally write fanfics (this is the first one i've written since i was 12-13) so i'm not all that used to it, but so far it's going all right i guess.
i keep switching perspectives in the fic, from one character to another and back, etc. right now, chell has been living on the surface for a few months after the events of portal 2. but i don't know what i should write for her now.
i've already written about her settling in on the surface and finding her first job. so i guess my question is: if you were a reader, what would you want to read about chell doing while on the surface?
i have an outline of the plot already and i'm focusing more on the robots right now. but i want to place a small break of sorts in the fic so readers know what chell is up to in the meantime, if that makes sense.

How does someone who was 'born' in a facility adjust to the wide open spaces, plants, sky, animals (!), etc. of the outside world?
Revealing more of Chell's personality through how she copes with basic survival instances and needs.
Does she meet someone? What is her first meeting with someone like?
How does she cope with the trauma of what happened to her at the facility? Does she have dreams that she is recaptured like at the end of the first game, even though she knows she is free? How does she relate/react to the Companion Cube?
