Regardless: "Orientations" are how we define our sexualities; they are words we use to describe something. That is also known as a "label."

A sexual orientation, by definition, is the gender(s) a person is or is not attracted to. You can label yourself a heterosexual who only likes guys who you've befriended first, but you still aren't a special orientation.
