I don't care if people write or draw while drunk, whatever, it's your choice. It's when they go on about how wasted they were while writing or drawing that it bugs me. I'm really uncomfortable around drunk people, and I have some friends whose family histories involve alcoholism and it's a trigger for a couple of them, so.

Basically I'm of the opinion that you can be as drunk as you want if it helps you be creative, just don't tell me about how drunk you were and we'll be fine.

And the amount of people in this thread deciding that they want to be offended because they feel like somebody is criticising their substance abuse is quite telling. The secret was about people bragging about it, not the fact that people do. No need to get so defensive if it doesn't apply to you, right?
