I just hope they DO get a death scene, instead of just an after the battle note of "yeah, they're dead."

Jackson gives dramatic death scenes to characters who didn't even actually die in the books, I'm sure he's going to wring every tear out of Fili and Kili that he possibly can.

I keep thinking maybe it won't be as bad as I'm imagining, then I remember Haldir and Boromir who's deaths were painful to watch even when I wasn't invested in them beyond 'oh hey they're cool' and the charge that Faramir makes with his company in RoTK that gives me chills every time I watch it... The last Hobbit film is not going to be good for my emotional well being.

I hated how Fili and Kili only got a line in the book. So lame.

But like the anon said, I don't believe it's physically possible for Jackson NOT to play that up; no way could he resist it.

It's going to be heartbreaking but I'd much prefer that to nothing. They deserve a good death scene (and I feel confident they shall get it)!

I just can't believe we have to wait two years to see it. Jesus Christ, how did I ever do this before?
