Yeah. The whole weird amnesia thing was interesting and so was Xander having left Sunnydale and making it on his own.
But the whole, "We're the gods of the universe" business comes out of left field, and I have a really hard time thinking of Riley as the sadist the story makes him out to be. I mean, the rapery can only go on for so long before even that is just over the top. LOL

No kidding.
And the time-travel-kilt-family thing was so...wha? I mean - honestly, at that point, i was skimming for content because i just could *not* anymore.
Now i'm sorta-kinda paranoid about getting a bitter and snarky email about how i'm *betraying* said author by talking about the story behind their back.
*I only got three in the course of that story. And all three times, i wasn't even saying anything bad.*

I don't know the author; I don't think we ever interacted in fandom at all back then.
I certainly don't conflate my estimation of the story with the author herself; I'm sure she's a lovely person. But the story is not for me.

I'm not - i dunno. I don't *care*? But it was all so weird, and at the time she was this huge BNF with a ton of followers and apparently some were lurking about and 'reported back' to her or whatever....
Not like i was hiding anything, so...whatever. That was the first and last time i ever had that sort of 'thing' happen in fandom.
