I was just thinking this the other day. I want a gender-bent remake too. I think that's the only way it could be properly done, honestly, and I'm a dude. (A gay dude, let's be clear, but one with straight-sympathies. Lisa is HOT in both the movie and the show and I would do her.)

OP, and other people reading this (all five of you), don't be afraid to do a gender-bend of this on your own. Use different names and a different title. Update things and change the plot as you like. Make it your own. You can do it, you can get away with it, and if they cast someone hot as male-Lisa, I'll go see it.
