Re: driving in a big city for the first time

Driving in a big city can be stressful, even if you're used to it. Stay calm and stay very alert. Pedestrians are everywhere and can cross the street with little to no warning. Keep an eye on cyclists; some are decent but a lot try and combine the rules of the road with the rules of the pedestrians. Mostly just keep your wits about you, don't panic, and be confident. It also helps to have a good navigator for an extra set of eyes, especially if you're not entirely sure where you're going. Make sure you have good directions, but in cities, airports tend to be really well marked.

Other than that... crank the tunes and enjoy the ride.

That sounded way too cheesy, but the sentiment rings true!
