I've seen some happy stuff for them, but I agree with you. Aomine and Kise seem to get the lion's share of the fandom's angst fic.

KuroBasu ships seem to have a speciality and not vary from it much: AoKise and AoKuro = angst, KagaKuro and KiKuro = fluff, AoKaga = porn, etc
