Not to mention that disturbing things happen IRL all the time and if unexpectedly becoming uncomfortable sometimes is really that bad then you are just too delicate to live. I realize that a lot of people go to fiction and fandom for escape from real life and all its horrors, but the burden is still on you to seek out those things that make you happy while doing your best to avoid the things that make you uncomfortable. No one owes you the fanfiction equivalent of a padded room full of puppies.
