... is it sad that I know what fic you're talking about? I have stumbled across that kind of fic and was appropriately horrified. Also I had a friend IRL who thought that was how gay male sex actually worked until they were, like, 20.

Ok, so is it like...is the idea...like, dicks doing...something together?

I mean when I was a kid I thought gay-guy-sex was kinda like that but I didn't really have a clear picture of how I thought that worked. And it didn't take me very long to learn better.

Different anon, but maybe they're referring to a famous fic (I think it was for Saiyuki?) some years back where the author thought m/m sex basically involved one dick being inserted into the other? And then when people showed up to tell her that that REALLY wasn't how it worked she doubled down and insisted that it totally was.
