I was okay with OUAT despite its many flaws. And I like the characters, but right now I still cannot get over the 'parent and child who are the same age' thing they have going on and it's made it hard for me to get into season 2. If I had my way, Tamora Pierce's books would be made into movies. Or the Dark Angel Trilogy.

The whole parent/children being the same age kind of reminds me of Tolkein's elves in a way. OUAT manages to get 5 generations together on the screen, and mom is also great grandma. It's kind of wild.

What do you mean mom is also great grandma? I can guess the three generations from what I know from the bit of the pilot episode I watched: Snow White, blonde daughter and child she gave up for adoption. But what are the other two?

Cora is mother of Regina who is adopted mom of Henry and Stepmom of Snow who is Biomother of Emma who is Biomother of Henry. So one of Henry's moms is biologically his step grandma.

Thank you for replying, but I think you broke my brain.

Hey, I didn't come up with the series.

It actually gets weirder. Because Storybrooke was essentially stopped in time for 27 years, Emma is biologically older than her mother. I think Snow is early 20s, Emma is 27, and Henry is 10 or 11.

Step great-grandma actually I think. Since Emma = mom, Snow = grandma, so Regina would = great-grandma.
