Stupid internet lacking tone. I was snarking, not necessarily at you. Anyway, am I your biggest opponent on this thread?

Anyway, I keep hearing the argument that BDSM fic in fandom (or out of it) doesn't have to actually follow from realistic BDSM principles because it's a "fantasy," and people make the same argument about condoms in porn (see: this thread). What gets people off is what's going to appear in porn. I've given up on seeing aftercare and D/s dynamics that don't automatically correspond to seme/uke.

I don't read BDSM, but if I did I would be extremely aggravated if it was written wrong. Especially since it creates an unsafe idea of what BDSM is *cough*50shades*cough*
