Re: FF.net recs

I don't have any recs, unfortunately, but when I'm looking for some fic for a fandom, one thing I'll do is I'll go the the tvtropes page for said fandom, then go to the "fanfic recs" page (if it has one). It's not a perfect method, admittedly, but I've definitely found some gems on ff.net that I wouldn't have found otherwise.

As someone who isn't terribly fond of that site, I must still begrudgingly admit that there are some good recommendations there. It's worth a look, at least.

The good thing about tvtropes Fanfics Recs is that usually they have a comment explaining WHY the person liked it. And other people can comment to agree/disagree. So usually, you know what you're getting into when you click on a rec.

Yep! Plus some of the larger fics have gotten their own tvtropes page(s), so if you're curious, you can learn about the fic in more detail.

...Though obviously not every fic is going to have it's own page, but if it's a well known fic (like, Methods of Rationality where I come from), it can be useful.

I've found plenty of good fics through that site. I also recced one.

I wonder if there's a limit to how many you can recommend per fandom; I haven't seen anything saying so.
